Smitherman endorsed by Baptist Ministers Conference of Greater Cincinnati and Vicinity for Hamilton County Commissioner
The Baptist Ministers Conference of Greater Cincinnati and Vicinity endorsed Smitherman(I) for Hamilton County Commissioner. This is another significant endorsement for the Smitherman campaign.
Smitherman says, “This endorsement continues to illustrate the depth and diversity of broad leadership in Hamilton County that are confident in my ability to govern and get things done for all Hamilton County voters”.
The independent African American church remains bold and a center of power for the African American community. Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. understood the importance of an independent and powerful “Black” church. This is why the statue replacement of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on the corner of Reading Road and Martin Luther King is so important to the African American church and community. The statue is a symbol of freedom and a reminder of the importance of independent thoughts.
Smitherman says, “Our campaign continues to gain momentum for the November 8th election. I am honored to accept the endorsement of the African American Baptist Church”.
